	ELA / Ernst L. Arnold "M" № 260101 Kundeninstrument - instrument of a client - instrumento de un cliente - instrument d´une client - strumento da un cliente Ein klassisches Bandoneon von Ernst L. Arnold Carlsfeld. Es ist ein für ELA spätes Modell vermutlich aus der ersten Hälflte der 1930er-Jahre. Leider läßt es sich nicht exakt bestimmen. Es ist jedoch ein typisches Modell dieser späten Epoche, bei der ELA wieder zum Material Zink in der Produktion der Stimmplatten zurückgefunden hat. Die Bezeichnung "M" in den Aussägearbeiten der beiden Deckel ließ die Vermutung aufkommen, daß es sich um ein Bandoneon der Firma Mariani in Buenos Aire handelt. Mariani produzierte wenige Bandoneons in Buenos Aires mit ebenfalls einem stilisierten "M" in den Deckeln. Das halte ich in diesem Falle jedoch für ausgeschlossen. Es ist ein typisches ELA mit allen Details der Traditionsmarke. Da ELA ebenfalls für Hohner produziert hat und Hohner seine (ELA-) Bandoneons besonders kennzeichnete, vermute ich, daß das "M" für Matthias Hohner steht. Wir werden es vielleicht nie ganz klären. Besonders ist hier das Dekor mit 3 Perlmuttblumen mit Silberfaden in Wellen als Sonderdekor. Es ähnelt dem bekannten Dekor von AA, ist aber im Detail weitaus aufwendiger und feiner als das bekannte Vorbild. A classic bandoneon by Ernst L. Arnold Carlsfeld. It is a late model for ELA, probably from the first half of the 1930s. Unfortunately, it cannot be determined exactly. However, it is a typical model of this late era, when ELA returned to using zinc for the production of the reed plates. The letter “M” carved into the two covers led to the assumption that this was a bandoneon made by the Mariani company in Buenos Aires. Mariani produced a small number of bandoneons in Buenos Aires, also with a stylized “M” carved into the covers. However, I consider this to be unlikely in this case. It is a typical ELA with all the details of the traditional brand. Since ELA also produced for Hohner and Hohner specially marked its (ELA) bandoneons, I suspect that the “M” stands for Matthias Hohner. We may never know for sure. A special feature here is the decoration with 3 mother-of-pearl flowers with silver thread in waves as a special decoration. It resembles the well-known decoration by AA, but is far more elaborate and delicate in detail than the famous model.
